How to fill a PDF form with a handwriting font
By DeskKit, an AK Software Labs product.
Some PDFs contain interactive fields; others are a flat page with lines and boxes. DeskKit provides separate workflows for both. Identify which type you have before typing so your exported result behaves as expected.
Interactive fields or a flat page?
Open the original PDF and try selecting a field. An interactive form can contain text boxes, checkboxes and other controls. A scanned application or a flattened form usually contains only page graphics. Open DeskKit PDF Forms to work with supported fields. For a flat page, use the PDF editor to position text over the blank area.
Fill supported fields
Select your PDF, inspect the field names and enter your information. Use the normal form-font option when you want to retain supported interactive fields. A form may have unusual field types or font restrictions, so inspect the output rather than assuming every custom form will work.
Use a handwriting style
Choose Caveat when you want supported text to look handwritten. The bundled font covers Latin and Cyrillic characters. It does not cover every writing system. For unsupported text, choose a compatible font or add a drawn or uploaded signature through Sign PDF.
Handwritten field values become static page text. They will not behave like editable form-field values in the exported PDF. Keep the original blank form if you need to change the information later. The receiving organisation may require typed text, block capitals or a handwritten signature, so check its instructions before choosing a style.
Place text on a scanned form
Use add text in the PDF editor, choose the page and set its position. Start with a small amount of text and review the first export. When the alignment is right, fill the remaining entries. OCR can make a scan searchable, but it does not automatically turn printed boxes into interactive form fields.
Check and save your finished form
Look at every page and verify dates, names, checkboxes and spacing. Rename the result before saving or sharing. If a recipient needs a static copy of normally filled fields, the separate Flatten PDF tool can remove field interactivity; save a fillable copy first if you still need one.
Server processing requires consent and uploads the PDF temporarily over HTTPS. Job files are removed after completion or failure. For identity or financial paperwork, use a trusted device and review the privacy policy before uploading.
